Mission Statement

From a Heart of Faith
a Miracle can Grow!

Do you have Faith in God?  If you do you can join with the Omega Kids and say “Yes!” “Yes!” to God’s vision. What is God’s vision you may ask?  In James 1:27 the Bible say’s “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless (Orphan’s) and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

In 2006, Jenne Blackburn took a trip to Africa. When she came back she and her family, and a few friends decided to form a group of young people named Omega Kids that were willing to put their hearts of FAITH into action. The Omega Kid’s relief organization pools the talents of young adults to raise money and awareness of the calling God has on our lives to help orphans and a hurting world receive their calling from God. Each individual uses his or her talents to bring to Jesus something with which he can use to support his orphans.

In the Bible the first Omega Kid shows up at the miracle of feeding of the five thousand.

In John 6:4-9 the Bible records, “And the Passover, a feast of the Jews, was near. And Jesus then lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said too  Philip, where shall we buy bread that these may eat? But this he said to test him, for He himself knew what He would do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may have a little.

One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him,  “THERE IS A LAD HERE WHO HAS FIVE BARLEY LOAVES AND TWO SMALL FISH, BUT WHAT ARE THEY AMONG SO MANY?”

When Jesus took what the lad had brought him, the scripture says that He gave thanks for it, distributed it to the disciples and they gave it to those who had sat down. The story finishes by saying all the people were feed and satisfied after Jesus feed them. It was the boy who brought his lunch to Jesus. It was the boy who believed and said in his heart. I Believe that Jesus can do something with my small offering. If you think about it, he had been watching Jesus heal the diseased people all day. He did not question if he could do it like the disciples did. His eyes were on Jesus and what His Kingdom could do. He could easily have looked at the situation and said I am nothing and what I have is nothing, but instead, his eyes were on the King and His Kingdom and because of that boys FAITH and GIFT, his story is in all four of the Gospels.  This boy’s testimony of faith continues today as we have gathered our hearts and talents and brought them to Jesus, through the Omega Kids.  We have seen God use our small offerings, multiply them and use them to feed and supply their needs and bless our first orphans in Africa.

" I believe what has been started is only the beginning. I long to hear stories and empower the youth to say Yes! to helping others everywhere. The world needs this generation to rise up and activate their communities to help others here in the US and abroad in any way they can! The story of Omega kids is an example of when one person says Yes! anything can be done -even if your only just a kid".

Michael
My name is Michael Kenney, and I have been blessed with 20 years of life.  Without a vision your dreams are dead. Since Jesus pulled me from the mire of this life, I have been instilled with a vision of speaking boldly and playing songs to glorify His kingdom.  Expressing myself through music, writing songs is an aspect of my life that would be hard to live without.  No fear in life, no fear in death, this life is but a breath and to tell others of such an abundant life He bled for fills my heart with joy. I am inspired to tell others to Say Yes to Jesus, live a life of surrender and watch Him work in their favor. Join us on this adventure and hear us live on OmegaKidsSayYes.com.

I love to skateboard and surf and I love to take pictures. When my sister Jenne came home with the vision of helping orphan children in Africa, I drew the first  “Going to Africa” t-shirt and the original painting that hangs in the Liberty house in Waco Texas. I would love to create a custom t-shirt, a logo, design or any kind of original art for your group or organization. Our heart is to help organizations say “Yes!” with In the House Productions and Omega Kids, and to inspire my generation to fulfill the dreams in their hearts. Just say “Yes!’ to what God’s will is for your life.
